2026 MLK Day of Service

HandsOn River Region will host its annual MLK Day of Service on January 19, 2026, bringing together volunteers, nonprofits, businesses, and community members to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through meaningful service projects across the River Region.

MLK Day of Service is a national day dedicated to turning Dr. King’s vision of unity and service into action. Locally, HandsOn River Region is coordinating eight community service projects in partnership with area nonprofit organizations, with a goal of engaging 100 volunteers to complete projects that strengthen neighborhoods and support community needs.

MLK Day of Service is open to individuals, families, faith groups, civic organizations, and corporate teams looking to give back and start the year with purpose.

For questions about corporate/community partnerships, volunteerism, or projects, contact Laurel Teel at lteel@handsonriverregion.org or 334-265-3390.
