About Christmas Clearinghouse

Since 1980, the HandsOn River Region Christmas Clearinghouse has helped ensure that families in need throughout the River Region experience the joy and dignity of the holiday season. We partner with nonprofits, churches, civic groups, and individual sponsors to match holiday assistance with families who might otherwise go without.

Every year, thanks to the compassion and generosity of our sponsors and partners, hundreds of families across the River Region experience a brighter holiday season. Your support makes a difference. Thank you for spreading holiday joy!

Christmas Clearinghouse: How It Works

The Christmas Clearinghouse is a centralized coordination and referral system that connects families in need with local agencies, sponsors, and programs providing holiday gifts, food, and other seasonal support. Our goal is to eliminate duplication of services, ensure fair and equitable distribution of resources, and maximize the community’s impact.

Families Register for Assistance
Eligible families in need apply through one of our approved referral partners or designated intake agencies.
Community Sponsors Sign Up to Help
Sponsors (individuals, families, businesses, or organizations) are matched with registered families and provided with wish lists and delivery guidelines.
HandsOn River Region Coordinates the Match
Our team verifies needs, organizes data, and facilitates successful matchups to make sure every participating family is served.
